My Story

I was a higher education administrator for over a decade, advancing rapidly from entry-level to senior positions in what felt like an instant. Throughout my career, I have managed departments with more than 55 staff members, facilitated over 100 trainings and workshops, and directly supervised over 100 incredible individuals. My educational background includes a liberal arts degree in English, communication, and secondary education, along with a Master of Science in organizational leadership, performance, and technology. I view myself as a scholarly practitioner and earned my Doctorate of Education (Ed.D) from Drexel University.

Despite having over fifteen years of experience in higher education administration, and the privilege of building meaningful relationships with students and colleagues while advocating for underserved populations, I sensed that something was lacking. My quest to reshape the hearts and minds of college students only partially fulfilled my sense of purpose. This feeling of disconnect was exacerbated by the global pandemic, which forced me to work from home without friends, colleagues, or even a pet for companionship. As my work situation became increasingly limiting, I recognized it was time to pursue a different path and reimagine my life beyond higher education. Upon reflection, I realized that my genuine passion is in nurturing both personal and professional growth in others.

Today, I am grateful for the series of serendipitous events that have led me to realize my dream of founding Vonni Coaching & Consulting, LLC.
